The first month
Right after leaving the hospital I turned so yellow that I had to undergo the bililight therapy. I recovered quickly though and turned very hungry. However, I decided that I do not like eating from the breast. It was way too much work. And anyway, who would bother learning a skill that is going to be obsolete within a few months… I still get breast milk just from the bottle. And that I love.
I don’t see much of the world around me yet since my eyes are not flexible enough to focus on differently positioned objects. Sometimes, however, when my Parents manage to put me so that the distance is just right I can see some things. I love the little stars and the moon on my bed that my Mom made. And I love reading books that my Dad got for me. My favorite though is the wallpaper in the kitchen and the bathroom. Oh, I would have forgotten the most important of all — the ceiling fan!
I smile in my sleep. Life is after all exhausting and that is the time where everything is definitely right. I love to sleep!
